Sweet and Sour Chicken

  • 500g chicken thighs cubed
  • egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp corn flour
  • Extra corn flour
  • 5 tbsp water
  • 5 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 5 tbsp vinegar
  • 5 tbsp sugar


Put egg yoke, soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of corn flour mix into a bowl and mix.  Add chicken into the mix and coat then put in the fridge. (can be prepared early in day)

Preheat oven 180 deg.

Roll pieces of chicken in more corn flour until coated and place on a baking tray. Cook until brown and crisp. (approx 20 minutes)

Add remaining ingredients into the TMX bowl along with another tbsp of corn flour and blitz on Speed 5 for 5 seconds.  SET ASIDE.

Cook rice as per EDC.

Add whatever vegetables you like to the wok, mine had red capsicum, red onion and pineapple.
Quickly fry then add the cooked chicken and sauce.  The sauce will thicken in about 1 minute.
