Now I am not saying there is anything wrong with the EDC version, in fact they have worked a treat on many occasions but sometimes they are not up to scratch. So I have gone back to a recipe that has never failed me and they can be easily done in the Thermomix (of course!). And lets face it, who doesn't love a scone for afternoon tea! Eb x
- 150g milk
- 150g cream
- 1 egg
- 450g Self Raising Flour
- 20g caster sugar
Preheat oven to 200deg.
Add milk, cream and eggs to bowl and mix on Speed 3 for 10 seconds. Add flour and sugar and mix on Interval for 30 seconds.
Place onto a lightly floured Thermomat and knead gently together. Cut into your scones and place on a tray. Brush some milk over the top and bake for 10-12 minutes.
