This recipe was in the March 2014 Recipes + magazine and my 12 year old daughter decided to make it. So this is her conversion. I assisted her with the conversion but then left her to do all the mixing and baking. I think she did a terrific job. Eb and Skye xx
- 185g butter cubed
- 220g dark chocolate (broken into squares)
- 180g caster sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla paste
- 100g plain flour
- 60g self raising flour
- 20g cacao or cocoa powder
- 2 eggs
Preheat oven to 150deg (fan forced) and prepare a loaf tin.
Add flours and cacoa to bowl and mix on Speed 5 for 10 seconds. SET ASIDE
Add butter, chocolate, sugar, milk and vanilla into bowl and cook for 3 minutes at 60 degs on Speed 2. Leave to cool back to 37deg.
Add eggs and flour mix and mix on Speed 4 for 10 seconds.
Pour into tin and bake for 1 – 1.5 hours. (for me it only took 1 hour).
Remove and cool. Ice with EDC ganache.
