Butter Chicken

This recipe came to me from Stephanie Pyne (she was responsible for the Lemon Delicious Cake we all loved so much).  After hearing her husband raving about how delicious it was I knew I had to have it.  Didn't disappoint at all.  This is a dead easy version and using a pre bought tandoori paste gives it loads of flavour.  I had a jar of tandoori paste available otherwise I am sure I would be searching for a good one to make from scratch - next time maybe :) My girls loved this curry and especially enjoyed mopping up the sauce with flat bread.   YUM! Butter Chicken served with flat bread and tikka potatoes

  • 1 Onion
  • 1 inch of ginger
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 red chilli
  • 20g oil
  • 80-100g tandoori paste
  • 200g yoghurt (non fat greek)
  • 170g tomato paste
  • 1 tab of ground almonds or cashews
  • 750g-1kg chicken thigh diced

Add onion, ginger, garlic, chilli to the bowl and chop for 5sec on Speed 7

Add oil and sauté for 3 min 100degrees, speed 1

Add ground nuts, tandoori paste, tomato paste, yoghurt and mix for 10 sec speed 7

Add chicken and cook for 20 min, 100 degrees, reverse, speed soft
