Who doesn't love a good prawn toast? When you make it fresh there is no comparison to that boxed stuff in the frozen section! I tell you what, whip these up for your next girls night in and you’ll be a STAR! - Bek x
- 200g fresh green prawns
- 1 clove garlic
- Small handful parsley
- 1tbsp soy sauce
- 1tbsp cornflour
- 1 egg white
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp white pepper
- ½ cup sesame seeds
- ½ cup panko bread crumbs
- Eight sliced white bread crusts removed
- Oil for frying
Put garlic in bowl and blitz on Speed 6 for 7 seconds, scrape down sides of bowl and blitz again to ensure finely chopped.
Add 1tsp oil and sauté for 7 minutes at 100 degrees Speed 1.
Add prawns, parsley, soy, cornflour, eggwhite, salt and pepper to bowl and mix speed 7 for 20 seconds till a paste like consistency.
Heat oil in fry pan over medium heat, and then mix together sesame seeds and panko crumbs on to a flat plate
Smear approximately 1 ½ tablespoons of prawn mixture onto one side of bread and then press into sesame seed/panko crumb mixture
Put prawn side down into fry pan and cook until golden brown turning once to fry bottom side.
Cut on the diagonal and serve.
