This one puts a new spin on the pasta bake. By adding sausages the kids are thinking they are getting a treat but sneakily hidden in there are 3 veg! Flavoursome, fun meal. Bek x
- 500g your favourite sausages
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 carrot peeled and cut into 3
- ½ zucchini cut into 3
- ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
- 50g tomato paste
- 400g tinned tomatoes
- ½ cup water
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1tbs white sugar
- Cracked black pepper
- Baby spinach leaves
- EDC béchamel sauce with cheese (see EDC book)
- ½ packet spaghetti
- 200g cheese
Grate cheese Speed 7 for 6 seconds, set aside.
Rinse bowl. Add garlic, onions, carrot and zucchini and chop 6 seconds Speed 7
Scrape down sides, add 1tbs oil and sauté for 6 minutes at 100 degrees Speed 1.
Add Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, tomatoes, oregano, sugar, pepper and salt and cook 25 minutes 100 degrees speed 1, no MC cup (basket on top to avoid splatter).
While this is cooking, brown sausages in fry pan, slice to 2cm pieces and set aside. When sauce is cooked, pour over sausages in Thermoserver.
Rinse bowl and make EDC béchamel sauce with cheese according to directions.
Cook spaghetti according to packet directions in large pot boiling water.
When spaghetti and béchamel sauce complete, assemble spaghetti into base of large casserole dish. Top with sausage and sauce mixture. Then cover with raw baby spinach leaves. Finally top with Bechamel sauce and reserved grated cheese
Bake in 180 degree oven for 20 minutes or until browned on top.
